Am trying to convert Mac text files (written in French) to Windows text files. Is there any easy way to do this, and keeping the Accented french characters?

To convert French text file from Macintosh to Windows:

1. Open the Mac text file as usual.
2. Choose Convert Text command from the Tools menu.
3. Select User Defined option in the Convert Text dialog box and choose OK.
4. In the next dialog box select Macintosh Roman to Win Western and click OK.
5. Choose Save As command from the File menu.
6. In the Save As dialog box select Dos/Windows file format and click Save.

If you just want to see french characters without converting file, you can choose Macintosh Roman command (font) from the Font menu.
