Turning off the red triangle for modified lines?
GWD Text Editor Forum: Technical Support: Turning off the red triangle for modified lines?
By joeV on Tuesday, March 12, 2002 - 11:50 pm:
I just upgraded to 3.2. The red triangle indicating modified lines is a good feature. But, I find it Very Annoying wall when I'm doing major modifications to a file. Is there any way to turn this off? I looked in the help and all of the pull-down options. If I can not turn the red triangles feature off in 3.2, then what is the last version that did not have this feature? Thanks Joe V

Add LineModificationIndicator=0 line in the [Editor] section of the gte.ini file from Windows (WinNT) directory and when the the version for unregister user will be posted (3.2.0.1 for few days). The program will stop displaying red rectangles before modified lines.

Are you saying that you are going to remove this feature from future versions -- because I really like this new feature. Tighe Lory

Only if you add LineModificationIndicator=0 line in the gte.ini file manually. In other words, user will be able to turn it off if he don't like it.
