Replace using Regular Expression hangs machine

GWD Text Editor Forum: Technical Support: Replace using Regular Expression hangs machine

When I try to do a replace like

$

with

\n\r\n\r

or

\n\n

the machine starts to use 99% of its CPU to do this and basically just hangs.

It does this consistently and I have decided to completely avoid regular expressions from now on.

What is it that I should do to avoid this bug. I just want to be able to change CRLF to some other expression that contains CRLF.

Vedran? Any suggestions.
