I am attempting to print line draw characters in Windows in a document generated in DOS. I downloaded GWD Text Editor, and I can view the lines correctly by choosing MS-DOS 437 as the font, but it previews as garbage, and prints out that way.

I tried using the Line Draw command, but it uses "-", "+" and "|" characters instead of the upper ASCII characters, even with the DOS font selected.

Is it possible to print these extended ASCII characters, such as ALT-196?

To print a document which uses MS-DOS line characters, you should specify a MS-DOS for printing (e.g. MS LineDraw). To select a printer font, choose Print command from the File menu, and in the Print dialog box, click on Font button.

To draw a lines using MS-DOS characters, choose Line Draw Style command from the Edit menu.
