FTP plugin not showing up

GWD Text Editor Forum: Technical Support: FTP plugin not showing up
Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message  By Anonymous on Saturday, May 20, 2000 - 10:48 pm:

I looked under the plug-ins menu and there is no option for ftp. I checked and it says that I have the plugin, but I cannot access this plugin in anyway. I have version 3.0
Any help would be appreciated

You probably, don't have Internet Explorer installed. GWD Text Editor FTP plug-in requires Internet Explorer 4.0 or 5.0

I have installed Explorer 4.0 and there is no option for FTP. I try installing Explorer 5.0 and there is no option for FTP. What dll's are needed for FTP plugin?

MFC42.DLL
MSVCRT.DLL
MSVCP50.DLL

SHLWAPI.DLL and WININET.DLL are loaded dinamically

All those DLLs can be downloaded from http://www.gwdsoft.com/downloads

Thought you might be interested to know that I too had this problem, even though I had Explorer 5 installed.

It seems I was missing the msvcp50.dll file. Once I had put it in system32, and restarted GWD Text Editor, the ftp option appeared no problem.

Oh yes, Internet Explorer 5.0 uses MSVCP60.DLL. It seems that I need to recompile FTP Client DLL using Visual C++ 6.0
